86 Honda Accord, CV Joint Boot Replacement
Q:
The outer CV boot on my '86 Honda Accord needs replacement. How would I go about performing this type of repair?

A: First, you have to determine if you have the appropriate tools to disassemble part of the front suspension and properly clean and service the CV joint and boot. To a person with the proper tools, understanding, and, if a first timer, a repair manual, it is not a difficult task. If you do not have what is needed attempting this type of repair is not cost-effective. You would be better off (less money spent) paying someone who does, to perform the repair.
