On rear disc brake equipped vehicles, remove the rear disc brake rotor.
Position Dial Indicator Bracketry and Dial Indicator against the wheel hub.
Push and pull the wheel hub by hand in an axial direction and measure the end play.
If the end play exceeds specification, check the wheel hub retainer torque specification and tighten if necessary. If necessary, replace the wheel hub.
