Verify the customer concern by operating the ignition switch and the multi-function switch housing with switches attached.
Visually inspect the ignition switch and the multi-function switch housing with switches attached for damage.
If binding occurs, turn the steering wheel left or right to release any pressure on the ignition switch and verify that the ignition key is cut properly.
If the cause of the switch malfunction cannot be found by visual inspection, determine the symptom and proceed to Symptom Chart for further diagnosis. See: Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
