Parking Brake System Components
The parking brake is actuated when the parking brake control is pulled. The parking brake control applies tension to the front parking brake cable and conduit through the parking brake cable equalizer. This, in turn, activates the RH and LH parking brake rear cable and conduits which are attached to the respective rear brake assemblies.

If the parking brake control is not fully released, the parking brake switch will illuminate the red BRAKE warning indicator. The red BRAKE warning indicator will also illuminate if the fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir is too low.
