Radio Removal Tool
  

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

  

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  

  1. Disconnect the heater temperature cable, located next to the accelerator pedal, from the air temperature control door.

NOTE : Rotate the temperature control switch to the cold position.

  

  1. Use Radio Removing Tool to pull the Integrated Control Panel (ICP) out of the instrument panel.

NOTE : Make sure the heater temperature cable is completely disconnected before removing the Integrated Control Panel (ICP).

  

  1. Disconnect the radio antenna lead in cable, the electrical connectors, and the climate control vacuum hoses, and remove the ICP.

INSTALLATION

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE :

  • The antenna cable becomes easily disconnected, even when the ICP is removed. Be sure to check the antenna cable connection.
  • When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
