WARNING:

  • DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE WHEN JACKING THE VEHICLE. THE WHEELS CONTACTING THE GROUND COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO MOVE.
  • SUPPORT THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO PERFORMING ANY PROCEDURE REQUIRING THE VEHICLE TO BE JACKED OFF OF THE GROUND.
  • MAKE SURE THE JACK AND JACK STANDS ARE PROPERLY LOCATED TO PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM FALLING.
  • WHEEL CHOCKS SHOULD BE USED TO PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING AND FALLING OFF THE JACK.
  • THE JACK PROVIDED WITH THE VEHICLE IS INTENDED TO BE USED ONLY IN AN EMERGENCY FOR CHANGING A DEFLATED TIRE. NEVER USE THE JACK FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE.
  • CHECK FOR NECESSARY CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE UNDERBODY OF THE VEHICLE AND THE DRIVE-ON HOIST.
  • BLOCK THE FRONT AND REAR WHEELS, AND APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE AND THE SERVICE BRAKE, OR INJURY TO PERSONNEL CAN RESULT.
  • EXHAUST GASES CONTAIN CARBON MONOXIDE, WHICH IS HARMFUL TO HEALTH AND POTENTIALLY LETHAL. REPAIR EXHAUST SYSTEM LEAKS IMMEDIATELY. NEVER OPERATE THE ENGINE IN AN ENCLOSED AREA.
  • EXHAUST SYSTEM COMPONENTS ARE HOT.
  • THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING, JACKING OR TOWING AN AIR SUSPENSION VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TURNING OFF THE AIR SUSPENSION SWITCH. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RESULT IN UNEXPECTED INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS, WHICH CAN RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE OPERATIONS.
