REMOVAL

1. If the inside rear view mirror bracket must be removed, heat the bracket with a heat gun.

NOTE : The inside rear view mirror mounting bracket is bonded to the windshield glass and should not be intentionally removed.

2. While heating the inside rear view mirror bracket, grasp the bracket with pliers and apply side to side pressure to release the bond.

INSTALLATION

1. Mark the location of the inside rear view mirror bracket on the outside of the windshield glass.
2. Clean the inside of the windshield glass with alcohol and then with glass cleaner to remove any remaining adhesive.
3. Scuff the bonding surface on the inside rear view mirror bracket.

• Wipe the surface clean.

NOTE : Do not contaminate the clean bonding surface of the inside rear view mirror bracket.

4. Apply a uniform coat of Accelerator D9AZ-19554-CA to the inside windshield glass and to the entire bonding surface of the inside rear view mirror bracket.

• Allow the accelerator to dry for three minutes .

5. Apply Rear View Mirror Adhesive D9AZ-19554-CA to the inside windshield glass and the inside rear view mirror bracket.
6. Press the inside rear view mirror bracket firmly against the windshield glass for one minute .
7. Allow the adhesive to set for five minutes .

• Remove any excess adhesive from the windshield glass with a clean, alcohol-dampened cloth.

8. Slide the inside rear view mirror down onto the inside rear view mirror bracket until the mirror is firmly fixed in place.

NOTE : The top of the mirror may need to be lightly tapped with a rubber mallet to ensure that it is properly seated.
