DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH
Description
Main power window and door lock/unlock switch detects condition of the door key cylinder and transmits to
BCM as the LOCK or UNLOCK signals.
DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH
Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector and ground.
Is the measurement value within the specification?
YES >> Replace main power window and door lock/unlock switch. After that, refer to See: Programming and Relearning\Power Supply And Ground Circuit\Power Window Main Switch\LH & RH Front Anti-Pinch-Coupe.
NO >> GO TO 2
- CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SIGNAL CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect main power window and door lock/unlock switch and door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch).
- Check continuity between main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector (A) and door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) connector (B).
- Check continuity between main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector (A) and ground.
Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) connector and ground.
Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4
NO >> Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH Check door key cylinder switch. Refer to See: Component Inspection\LH & RH Front Anti-Pinch-Coupe.
Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> Check intermittent incident. Refer to See: Testing and Inspection\Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview\Service Information For Electrical Incident\Intermittent Incident.
NO >> Replace door lock assembly LH (door key cylinder switch). After that, refer to See: Special Repair Requirement\LH & RH Front Anti-Pinch-Coupe.
