ALTIMA SEDAN, COUPE, AND HYBRID; ENGINE NO CRANK / NO START

APPLIED VEHICLES  2007 - 2010 Altima Sedan (L32) with CVT only
                  2008 - 2010 Altima Coupe (CL32) with CVT only
                  2007 - 2010 Altima Hybrid (L32HV)

IF YOU CONFIRM:

The engine will not crank (or go to READY MODE - Hybrid) when pressing the push-button ignition switch and applying the brake pedal.

ACCESSORY and IGNITION ON modes can be turned on and off during this condition.

ACTION:

Install a new brake lamp switch and sub-harness with those listed in PARTS INFORMATION.

For parts replacement and installation, refer to SERVICE PROCEDURE.

NOTE:
^ This bulletin does not apply to manual transmission equipped vehicles.

^ This bulletin does not apply to Hybrid vehicles with HEV related CONSULT-III DTCs.

^ This bulletin does not apply for this incident, should it occur, if ACCESSORY and IGNITION ON modes cannot be turned on.
